It´s nice to read Teresa Champion´s daughters have followed in the footsteps of their mother and have become flamenco dancers too.

Absolutely amazing. Willy must still be playing up there loud enough so she can hear him. ;)

Teresa Champion, doing her famous table dance in the Cantina. Is that her husband Willie "El Curro" Champion
on the guitar with his back towards the viewer, or could that be him next to Wayne, encouraging her on?

I remember when she came to visit AV in I think it was 1980. She was primping in front of a mirror in the Indian store which was odd for a tourist to do, so I started talking with her and she said was the woman who danced on the table in The Alamo Movie and had come to see the village again, and visit with Happy and so she was making sure she looked good before their meeting. I was happy to talk with her but I admit, I was too young to realize exactly who she was at the time. I had not even seen the movie yet. (How did we get by before VCRs and DVDs and YouTube?)

On James Mitchners TEXAS our costume designer was Ron Talsky. He and I were talking one day and he said he had worked another time at the Brackettville set on the Alamo. He worked in wardrobe uncredited and it was one of his first movies.
Ron was very sick and wasn't able to finish the filming of TEXAS. I remember one of his last days on set he was finishing up dressing his Mexican army and he stood back and said to them. "You all look as good as the ones from The Alamo" Then he walked over to the wardrobe truck and almost collapsing before sitting down. We heard before we had finished filming that he had passed. It was very sad. I wish I would have asked him a lot of questions. Kevin was out there almost daily but I don't know if he realized Ron had worked on The Alamo movie or not...
